Designer Inspirations

I have always loved to cook and make people around me have full bellies. I’ve always enjoyed art, creating is rewarding but my favorite part of art is being able to destroy my creations. Cooking and baking is the most pleasurable, delicious, and socially acceptable way to create and destroy.

Hummingbird High this is a food blog that I love, I have adapted my own recipes but she makes some delicious things!

Molly Yeh is an absolutely amazing cake decorator and has some wild recipes, she knows how to make fusion food work.

Smitten Kitchen’s Deb really knows how to delve into recipes and is a staple in cooking blogs, she has all types of recipes.

Vanilla Bean Blog ‘s Sarah Kieffer is amazing, she has a knack for really really delicious and beautiful recipes, In addition, she mixes literature and everyday life with her blog posts, her style of writing is poetic and filled with sweet baked goods.

Inspiring Projects

The Olive Branch for Children is an organization that is near and dear to my heart. Not only did work for this organization I also find their model of development work visionary.

Kiva is an organization that does incredible work in mircrofinance and microloaning on a global scale.

Operation Groundswell is an awesome volun-tourism organization that gives youth a chance to see the developing world and make impact.

Workers Defense Project is an organization from my hometown of Austin, Texas, helping preserve workers rights and safety, no matter their status. They do incredible things!

Right to Play is an organization that helps promote learning and development not only inside but also outside of the classroom for children around the world.

My Agro is another amazing organization based out of Bakamo, Mali that focuses on  improving farming for impoverished communities.

Jayu is an organization that uses art and media to convey the impact human rights abuses throughout the world and promote healing for the artists.

HEB is a grocery store throughout Texas, that has an amazing corporate social responsibility(CSR) program.

Colorado Baby is where I am going to be forever in love with. This place brought me practical baby stuff and a village of other mothers who made me feel at home in Grand Junction.

Nellie’s Cleaning Products is a product I started using fairly recently but have fallen in love with, if you want eco friendly products and packaging, this is the place for you!! *I also do NOT love their non-inclusive branding.
